Taco John

music and lyrics by Kurt Kistler

My name is Taco John
And I'd like to take you on...
A journey into the land.
Please don't be afraid
As I show you the sights that made me
Exactly who I am.

Well it started with a pint of peyote peppers
To open my mind a bit
The room started swirling and began to drip
So I figured I'd just take a hit

All of a sudden I felt my belly expanding
And things didn't seem quite right
I knew right then I wasn't coming back
So I ran off into the night...

Through the forest I began to walk
And the trees -- they started to talk
And they told me what I must do:
I must climb the Noodledome
That's where I'll call my home
And I hope to see you soon...

Suddenly a guru ghost appeared
And he motioned to come this way
He said the secrets of the universe
All lie inside this cave

I saw visions of a guy named Biscuit Willie
And his friend, a cat named Moop
Together they ride the tide of hungry ears
Open your mind and take a look...

Taco John where have you gone?
We've been searching for you high and low...
You're a freak with a whole lotta Mexican
Deep inside your soul.

Taco John where have you gone?
We all know that the time is near --
For you to call upon your magical powers
And make the moon disappear!
